To the boards....

Meet Tobias Enström, Atlanta Thrashers and Sweden national team defenseman. During a game against Latvia at the Worlds Martin Karsums thought it would be absolutely fantastic idea to tackle Enström from behind straight to the board. As a result poor Tobby got a fractured upper jaw and they had to place a titan plate into his face to keep it together. The doctors were happy with the surgery and he should recover fully. And he's on his way to Tobbynator with that titan piece...

Karsums didn't get a suspension and tonight he gave same kind of treatment to Austrian player. I'm not yet sure who it was and what happened to him, but he did have to leave the game.

I like hockey because it's combination of amazing skills and physical play. But the kind of hits where the player been hit flyes to board head first and lead to fractured face don't belong to hockey. Play hard but don't try to injure your opponent. Especially the head.
